Activities
All sessions are cross-curricula using the school grounds or local outdoor spaces as a teaching environment, helping to develop independence, resilience and engagement. Sessions can be organised as stand alone sessions or as part of series.
BUSHCRAFT
Discover a connection to nature through fire lighting, cooking over a fire, shelter building, scavenger hunts and wide games.
PROBLEM SOLVING & TEAM BUILDING
Activities that develop leadership skills, teamwork sharing ideas, trial and error, creative thinking and using the Kolb Cycle (Plan-Do-Review)
LOCAL WALKS
Exploration of the local area discovering seasonal wildlife, local history, learn about the countryside code whilst experiencing different environments.
ORIENTEERING
Sessions to look at basic map reading and directional skills, developing interpretation of 2D images into 3D environments. This alos offers an ideal opportunity to incorporate elements of other subjects.
Making Sessions Cross-Curricula

These are activities that cover multiple sections of the curriculum within an activity.
The activities provided can be tailored to meet specific curriculum needs and subject areas.
All activities incorporate communication, physical skills, team work and imagination.
Additionally sessions can be adapted to include elements of the curriculum in;
Art & DT (Using different materials, natural resources, 3D design, safety and risk),
English (Descriptions and public speaking),
Geography (Seasons, weather, land features),
Maths (Arithmetic, directions)
Science (Materials, nature).
